Our February featured farmer is Jeff Levering, owner and operator of Levering Farms in Morrow/Knox County. He runs a grain farm with 1,900 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat and hay and has a 600 head feed lot operation. Jeff also runs a trucking company and a feed store.
Jeff enjoys working outside — operating machinery and improving the land for the next generation. He said he differs from other farms because his is 100 percent family operated. Although there isn’t much downtime when running a farm business, he likes to camp, boat, swim, and razor ride.
Every farm faces some obstacles along the way. Jeff explained that the weather, government regulations, weeds, and insects were a few of his. “Being a Farm Bureau member has benefited me because it keeps me up-to-date on political news. I also have an organization working for me in Washington, D.C. I keep informed on social happenings of other Farm Bureau members.”
Keep on running a successful business, Jeff. We appreciate you being an Ohio Farm Bureau member!
