Trustee Tuesday

We would like to take the time on Tuesdays to introduce you to our trustees! While our trustees are busy with their jobs and families, they still manage to find time to do great work for Farm Bureau and we appreciate all that they continue to do for their respective county! We value these members and their many hours contributed to making Farm Bureau great! 

This week we would like to introduce you to Jamie Buchert.

Where did you grow up?

  • In Ohio and Texas. My father’s family is from Washington Court House which is where I gained my agricultural experience and knowledge.

How long have you been a Farm Bureau member?

  • 3 years.

How long have you been a trustee?

  • I was elected this past year.

What is your agriculture background?

  • I was involved in 4-H as a kid with market hogs and my family’s farming business in Fayette County. I currently own and operate Sunset Acres Farm, LLC with my husband, Zach. We raise chickens/eggs and horse/ livestock hay.

What is your current job title?

  • I am a wife, mother, farmer and substitute teacher for Lebanon City Schools.

What activities have you participated in with Farm Bureau?

  • Meetings, Membership kick-offs, educational outreach, etc.

What is one interesting fact about yourself?

  • I attended four different high schools (two in Ohio and two in Texas) due to family moves.
