The Portage County Farm Bureau will be awarding five scholarships this year under the Robert Brookover Scholarship Program. The field of agriculture is always in need of well-trained graduates. Agricultural occupations are vital to our agricultural community.
If you are interested in a career in agriculture, are planning to attend an accredited college, university or trade school in the fall of 2019 and will be majoring in the field of agriculture or a related field of study, take advantage of this opportunity!
Applicants must be residents of Portage County. The children of Farm Bureau members will be considered regardless of stated field of intended study. All other applicants will be considered only if they plan to enroll in agriculture or in an ag-related field.
The county recipients will be chosen in May. Three scholarships will be awarded at $1,000 each; two scholarships will be awarded at $500 each.
Please consider this opportunity to further your education in the field of agriculture. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2019 in order to be accepted.
