Recently Ohio Farm Bureau hosted a trip to Washington, D.C. for its county presidents to make their voices heard on topics that are critical to agriculture, landowners, and rural residents. During this trip, participants were able to hear from Congressman Bob Gibbs (R-OH), Congressman Glenn Thompson (R-PA), Congressman Jack Bergman (R-MI), Congressman Troy Balderson (R-OH), Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR), Republican Whip Steve Scalise (LA), Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA), House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson (D-MN), as well as Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH). The delegation was also able to hold a briefing with numerous staff members from the American Farm Bureau and tour a few Washington, D.C. highlights.
Among those attending the 74th annual County Presidents’ Trip were Jerry Ebbert, Belmont County; Bethany Enos, Guernsey County; and Cliff Sickler, Monroe County.
