2021 Membership Campaign

Membership Update for March 26, 2021

There is one week to go in the 2021 Membership Campaign. Our county membership teams have worked hard to communicate the value of membership to their friends, family, neighbors and local businesses. If you have not joined or renewed yet, we would like to invite you to join an organization that works together with farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen communities.

As of today we have 66,023 paid active member families and continue to track toward our goal. The last day of the campaign is March 31, 2021, and our final target report will be April 2, 2021.

County Farm Bureaus are important to the success of the organization. Congratulations to the following counties that have achieved active gain or higher at this point.

County Farm Bureaus in Action

Farm Bureau Day at Rural King
This Pike County Farm Bureau membership team never gives up… they are working hard to reach their active membership goal! Members were able to renew their membership, or prospective members could join and receive a $10 Rural King gift card and 32 ounce tumbler. Hotdogs, water and chips were provided to those who attended and they could also purchase popcorn to support the county Farm Bureau.

Farm Bureau Membership Appreciation Days.
Defiance, Fulton, Henry and Williams counties held three Farm Bureau Membership Appreciation Days.
Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.

I appreciate the benefit of having a strong voice in my corner. The extras that are included in membership are wonderful, but I'm a member because of the positive impact to my local and state agricultural communities.

Strong communities
I see the value and need to be engaged in the community I live in, to be a part of the decision-making process and to volunteer with organizations that help make our community better.

Leadership development
Farm Bureau involvement has taught me how to grow my professional and leadership experience outside of the workforce and how to do that in a community-centric way.

With not growing up on a farm, I’d say I was a late bloomer to agriculture. I feel so fortunate that I found the agriculture industry. There are so many opportunities for growth.

Growing our Generation
Knowing that horticulture is under the agriculture umbrella and having Farm Bureau supporting horticulture like it does the rest of ag is very important.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
