Darke County Farm Bureau has been bringing people together for 100 years and believes in opportunities for the next generation. Therefore, Farm Bureau is proud to be hosting a farm to table dinner for the second year in a row. Feast on the Farm will highlight independently owned businesses, draw attention to the importance of local farms, and promote the burgeoning agritourism industry in our county. Agriculture is Ohio’s largest industry, and over the last few years we’ve seen an increase in public interest regarding food production. We are excited for this initiative where all net proceeds will benefit Darke County 4-H. The dinner is set to take place Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 at Winner’s Farm Meats in Greenville.

Objectives:

1. Highlight and promote independently owned businesses in the county.

2. Provide an opportunity to bring consumers and producers together to share information on food production.

3. Raise money to support the Darke County 4-H program.

4. Provide an evening of entertainment, good food, and fellowship.

Social Hour 6 p.m. – Cash bar with local beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres will be served

Dinner 7 p.m.

The food ingredients for the dinner will be sourced from farms in Darke or surrounding counties and the three-course meal will be prepared by chefs and restaurateurs from downtown Greenville. The Merchant House will prepare the salad and entree and desserts.

The event will also feature live music performance, informational presentations from food providers, displays from local farms and more.

This fundraising event is made possible thanks to the generous support of our presenting sponsors: Jordan Agency and Graves-Fearon Agency, your local Nationwide agents, Bruns Animal Clinic, North Star Hardware & Implement Co, Second National Bank, The Anderson’s, and Gerber Seed Services.
