Please join Morrow County Farm Bureau for a Centennial Celebration at the Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 21. If you have never been to the annual meeting, we encourage you to join us this year and learn more about what our organization is doing in the county and your community. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

Tickets are just $10 and available from any of your county Farm Bureau trustees, or call 800.327.6055 by Aug. 14, or click here to make reservations and pay at the door.

We will hear about the history of Ohio Farm Bureau and Nationwide and draw the winners of the gun raffle. Members will vote on guiding policies, and elect trustees and delegates to the Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting for 2020. IMPACT your community by guiding local activities and state events!

The policies of Farm Bureau are the backbone of the organization. They provide the framework through which we advocate for family, community and food security. They help guide efforts to address real community issues—issues such as regulations, funding public education and services, environmental protection, animal care, health care, landowner’s rights and community planning. These policies and trustees help guide the yearly plan of work for Morrow County Farm Bureau volunteers.

Are you ready to be more involved? Farm Bureau is a grassroots membership organization that works to support our state’s food and farm community. The county (local) Farm Bureau is the very heart and strength of the organization. Morrow County Farm Bureau is seeking candidates for trustees to be elected at the Annual Meeting.

Trustees are asked to attend board meetings, serve on committees with other volunteers and help direct the work of the county Farm Bureau.

Locally there are 12 trustees on the board – eight elected by district and four at-large. Active Members or Young Active Members, or their spouses, whose dues are paid, are eligible for the office of trustee. All trustees must live, work or have an active agricultural interest in the county. All trustees elected by district must live, work, or have an active agricultural interest in said district. Open seats are:

  • District 1 – Washington, Canaan, Gilead, Franklin
  • District 3 – Cardington, Westfield, Lincoln, Peru
  • District 4 – Harmony, Chester, South Bloomfield, Bennington
  • At Large

If you are interested in making a difference in your community, planning activities, and organizing sessions to help local farmers, please let us know. Nominations can be made from the floor at the meeting.

If you can’t commit the time to be a trustee, we still have a spot for those willing to help! Volunteers are needed at different times throughout the year. You can volunteer for one particular event, participate in many areas or serve on committees. Contact the office at 800.327.6055 or [email protected] for more information on opportunities to volunteer. If you are interested in making a difference in your community, please let us know.

Remember, all Farm Bureau members and their families are invited to join us for this special event. Join your friends and neighbors for an evening of food, fun and entertainment as we celebrate our organization’s successes.

Tickets are just $10 and available from any of your county Farm Bureau trustees, or call 800.327.6055 by noon on Aug. 14, to make reservations and pay at the door.

We hope to see you there!
