Guernsey County Farm Bureau will hold its annual pork chop dinner Friday, April 20, at the Cassell Station Firehouse, Cambridge, with dinner served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are available from any board of trustee member, Nationwide Insurance offices of Gene Moore and Cambridge Insurance Group, both in Cambridge or the Farm Bureau office in Barnesville, 740-425-3681.

Tickets are advance sale only and the deadline for purchase is Friday, April 13. The menu includes grilled pork chops, red skinned potatoes, green beans, applesauce, rolls, beverage and ice cream!  Ticket prices are $8 for Farm Bureau members, $10 for non-members and $5 for children under the age of 10.

As in previous years, a silent auction will be held with numerous items donated by area businesses and individuals available to bid on.  All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Guernsey County Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund.  Two scholarships, in the amount of $500 each are awarded every year to a child of a Guernsey County Farm Bureau member.

There will be several displays by area agencies such as Nationwide Insurance, and county agencies and Farm Bureau member businesses. The information tables will be available throughout the dinner and several will offer door prizes. The Safety Seminar will be held at 6 p.m. for those interested, and all members of the Ohio Farm Bureau Workers’ Compensation Group Rating program are encouraged to attend.
