Ohio Farm Bureau’s free Ag Literacy Volunteer Certification Training is Feb. 9 in Columbus. Any Farm Bureau member who has a desire to engage with youth about agriculture education, whether helping a county Farm Bureau regularly with ag literacy programming or wanting to learn more about how to start engaging in ag literacy efforts, is welcome to attend.
This one-day training will equip volunteers with the skills and resources to present in classrooms. The certification training includes a background check, classroom materials and training on specific American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture and Ag in the Classroom lesson plans.
Registration for the certification training program is open until all 25 available spots are filled or until Monday, Jan. 29, at 11:59 p.m. (whichever comes first).
