The Sirna Family hosts a Fall Festival at their working farm. Each year the festival highlights their summer’s success, and their fall harvest. This year the festival is Oct. 5, 6, 12 and 13 from 12 noon to 5 p.m., rain or shine.

Craig Sirna’s favorite station to manage is riding the John Deere tractor and giving an educational hay ride. On the tour, guests hear the Sirnas’ story of purchasing the land from a developer in 1997 and converting the property back to its original glory – a farm.

“I stop and talk about how we raise our black angus cattle, how we care for them and rotate their grass fields, and we drive by our maple production – so I explain how syrup is made. It’s important to educate our community on small farms and how the way we do things is so different from what you see on the news and TV,” Sirna said.

In addition to the agritourism, the annual event includes face painting, live music, an animal farm, corn box, and just the general excitement of being and playing at a working farm.

Items available for purchase include pumpkins for carving, decorations for the porch and entertaining and a bounty of local products from the exclusively Ohio-made stocked store, coined “The Local Store.”

The Sirna family also owns a Farm-to-Table restaurant, Sirna’s in Auburn Township just a few miles from the farm.
