American Farm Bureau is hosting a consumer engagement training in Columbus March 21-23, 2024, for Farm Bureau members who are passionate about sharing the significance of agriculture with those who are otherwise disconnected from agriculture.

This training empowers members to bridge the gap between field and fork. Attendees will build their skills and confidence to talk about important agriculture topics, to network with and learn from other Farm Bureau members, and to build an action plan for consumer engagement in their state or county. We will have industry tours, excellent speakers and sessions on engagement with restaurants, local farmer’s markets, food industry partners, and more. We will also have basic and advanced levels of social media training. New this year, Target Training registrants will get media and podcast training as well as access to an optional advocacy training offered by AFBF after the conclusion of Target Training.

Registration closes on Friday, Feb. 23 at noon.

Target Training is hosted by the AFBF Promotion and Education Committee and is open to any Farm Bureau member or staff interested in building knowledge and skills in this area. Sponsors include Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and Nationwide.
