Exploring Crop and Livestock Integration: Barriers & Benefits

  • Review two years of soil health, crop and farm management data from 31 working Ohio farms.
  • Hear a panel of area farmers discuss their strategies and experiences with farm diversification through combining livestock and crop production.
  • Discuss the barriers, benefits and trade-offs of incorporating manure and perennial crops with agronomic row crops.
  • Optional tours of host farm (6:30 p.m.) and nearby manure composting facility (7:30 p.m.)

No cost to attend, but RSVP needed for the meal by Aug. 24.
