Jefferson County Farm Bureau is holding a safety training May 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Homestead Rendezvous. The safety training satisfies the 2-hour safety training requirement for members of the Ohio Farm Bureau Workers’ Compensation Group Rating Program.
Dee Jepsen, PhD from OSU Agricultural Safety and Health, will be the presenter. Jepsen has been with the department since 1992 and spends her time between teaching, Extension and research in occupational safety and health.
The Homestead Rendezvous is a combination farmers market, field day and homesteading demonstration event. The goal is to connect small farms and homesteads with their communities and connect the businesses serving these farms with the farmers. This is a free event from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. held at the Bergholz Firehall at 724 Monroe Street in Bergholz. The safety training is part of this larger event.
If you have questions about the upcoming safety training, please contact the Jefferson County Farm Bureau office at 330-339-7211.
