Snider wins Ohio Farm Bureau 2025 Excellence in Agriculture award

Read MoreChristy Montoya is organization director for Butler, Hamilton, Montgomery and Preble counties. In this role, she is a liaison between the county Farm Bureaus and Ohio Farm Bureau. She assists county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen their organizations, serve members and affect positive change in their communities.
Montoya is a graduate of Ohio State University with a major in animal, dairy and poultry sciences.
What is something you can point to that has been accomplished thanks to the joint efforts of farmers and community members in your area?
Together with farmers, we are working within our communities to educate the communities about the importance of agriculture and the role of food in our daily lives. Education is a main focus to reach out to our future generations.

Tell us about one big project one of your counties has planned or has recently conducted.
New this year, Hamilton County Farm Bureau will join the Hamilton County Community 4-H Fair to sponsor a Farm Bureau Member Day.
