Since the beginning of the school year, the Northwestern FFA Greenhouse Management class has worked diligently to finish all of the tables in the greenhouse. Recently, 300 poinsettias were delivered to the greenhouse to begin growing. One hundred of the plants are 4 ¼ inches, and the other 200 are 6 inches. Since the time of delivery, the class has been working on creating marketing flyers, selling prices, and caring for the poinsettias. They have learned about the challenges of raising the plants and how to overcome those problems to care for the plants and keep them healthy.
The Northwestern FFA hopes to begin selling the poinsettias after Thanksgiving break. For more information, contact a Northwestern FFA member. All final details and selling information will be posted on the Northwestern FFA website.
