Ohio Farm Bureau hosts statewide CAUV update webinar

Read MoreRecent trends show a growing need for more agricultural educators, and Nationwide has partnered with Ohio Farm Bureau and others to help shed a light on the need for more ag teachers.
To that end, Nationwide has established the Golden Owl Award to honor an agricultural educator of the year. In this first year, Nationwide partnered with Farm Bureau, Ohio FFA and Iowa FFA to introduce the accolade in Ohio and Iowa.
Ten teachers from Ohio and seven from Iowa will be selected as honorees, receiving a $500 prize and entrance into the final selection stage. One honoree from each state then will be chosen for the grand prize, winning the Golden Owl Award and $3,000.
Teachers eligible for nominations include middle school and high school agricultural educators, as well as college level professors teaching agricultural courses. Students, faculty and community members can nominate their agricultural instructors now through Nov. 16.
