On Tuesday, Sept. 27 the Brown County Junior Fair board hosted a 4-H Youth event from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. where Cloverbuds, Daisy Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts were invited to interact with several local businesses and professionals. In addition to the Brown County Farm Bureau, organizations represented included various 4-H clubs, Emergency Management, State Troopers, SWCD, local banks and more!
Brown County Farm Bureau set up an activity at this event which included youth participating in a mock livestock judging. Participants were able to approach the table, select a small stuffed animal of their choice and were asked a series of questions about their animal. The participants were encouraged to engage in eye contact and to use their imaginations! And, that they did! We had a pig that said, “mooo,” and a duck named, “Wacky.” Many thanks to Georgetown FFA students for assisting and being “judges.”
