Guernsey County Farm Bureau recently sponsored the Guernsey Graze event to benefit our three FFA chapters in the county: Buckeye Trail, Meadowbrook and Mid-East Career Center. We are very grateful to all of our sponsors especially our events sponsors at the $1000 level. Sponsors included Bamfield Farms, Bears Den/360 Burger, BiCon, Farm Credit Mid-America, Gray Family, I70 Auctions, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1105, Kaufman Realty, M & M Feed and Supply, McCormick Farm, Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, and Teal Dove.
Chef Nicole Bates served a locally sourced gourmet meal consisting of smoked pork loin with maple bourbon glaze, red wine and root vegetable beef pot roast along with numerous side dishes. Charcuterie boards with the FFA emblem along with cheeses and meat adorned the tables. The meal was provided in large part by donations from Peoli Produce Auction.
Entertainment was provided by Landon Tom.
Following dinner, a live and silent auction was held with numerous donated items from local businesses. We thank all of our donors, participants and sponsors for a highly successful evening. All proceeds will be distributed to the three FFA chapters this fall.
