Kabobs on the grill

Kabobs on the Grill

The perfect summertime supper that doesn’t require too much time in the kitchen. Kids enjoy eating anything that involves a skewer.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak sirloin or round, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Toppings
  • bell peppers
  • red onions
  • cherry tomatoes
  • small potatoes
  • bamboo skewers

Directions

In a plastic bag, combine olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic and lemon juice. Add beef and place in the fridge to marinate overnight (or at least four hours).

Cut up vegetables into 1-inch pieces and set aside. Soak bamboo skewers for 10 minutes in water. Arrange marinated steak and vegetables on each skewer. Cook on the grill or over an open fire for 10 minutes or until desired level of doneness is reached.
