Join us for the 2026 Farm Conference April 11 at David Anderson Junior/ Senior High in Lisbon. This event offers farmers and landowners expert insights, networking, and practical strategies for operations of all sizes.

There will be three rounds of four sessions, of which attendees will choose one per round on the day of the event. The attendees will also be able to connect with industry leaders and fellow ag professionals.

Three Rounds of Four Sessions
Sessions will be led by Columbiana SWCD, OSU Extension – Columbiana County, Ohio Farm Bureau, Lisbon Veterinary Clinic, and The Chris Arnott Agency (Nationwide Insurance).

  • 8:30 a.m.: Event kicks off with breakfast and an opening session on critical agricultural issues
  • 12 p.m.: Lunch, along with the Ohio Farm Bureau’s new health plan options update.
  • Round 1:
    • SWCD: Who we are and what we do
    • Boundaries and Liability: Protecting Your Land and Your Rights (Farm Bureau Member ONLY Session)
    • Farm Liability Basics: Is Your Farm Properly Covered?
    • Managing Beyond ‘Average”’ – Level up your Benchmarking and Recordkeeping Description: Benchmarking consistently teaches farms across Ohio and the U.S. that it doesn’t pay to be “average.” Join us to learn more about recent trends across dairy, crop, and livestock enterprises, as well as recordkeeping resources.
  • Round 2:
    • Rain Barrel, Rain Garden, Pollinator Habitat Development for Landowners.
    • Navigating Rural Regulations: Zoning, Open Burning and Landowner Issues (Farm Bureau Members ONLY Session)
    • Farm Liability Basics: Is your Farm Properly Covered?
    • It’s Not A Problem Until It’s A Problem: Why To Have A Vet/Patient Relationship
  • Round 3:
    • Soil Health & Cover Crops: What You Need To Know To Get The Most Out Of Your Land
    • Local Food Guide: Discussion On What It Takes To Get To Market (Farm Bureau Members ONLY Session)
    • Beef Quality Assurance
      Description: BQA teaches cattle health, stockmanship, marketing, and emergency management techniques to US beef producers while coupling good husbandry techniques and research-backed information.
    • Farm Liability Basics: Is Your Farm Properly Covered?

    • $140 per Non-Farm Bureau Couple: includes a Farm Bureau Membership ($120 value & must live in the same household)
