Locally-led conservation is based on the principle that local people make the best decisions for their own communities.
Annually the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District gathers landowners to discuss local conservation practices and needs. Farm Bureau is joining the conversation to determine policy needs from their Licking County members.

As the county commissioners advance the development of the Comprehensive Plan, this work group meeting plays a pivotal role in capturing your insights and concerns about the future of agriculture in Licking County. The session will include a concise overview of the planning process, updates on current conservation programs, and a review of Farm Bureau policy.
Please come prepared for a thoughtful and engaged discussion about our natural resources and the ways our agencies can work proactively amid ongoing land‑use changes across the county.
