Farm Foundation, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, will host its next virtual forum, Ownership and Investment in U.S. Farmland.

This virtual forum will touch on the challenges and opportunities surrounding agricultural land ownership in the U.S. The themes will include the historical issues with agricultural land ownership, trends in farm demographic change, competition for land between farmers/ranchers and real estate and energy development interests, and more.

David Haight, vice president for programs at American Farmland Trust, will moderate the panel, which will include perspectives from these expert contributors:

  • Round Table Fellow Howard Halderman, president, Halderman Farm Management and Halderman Real Estate Services
  • Eloris Speight, director, Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers Policy Research Center at Alcorn State University

Audience members will be invited to submit questions for the panelists to answer live during the event.

This event is being held virtually and is free to attend, but registration is required. Farmers, ranchers, food and agribusiness leaders, government officials and staff, industry representatives, NGO representatives, academics, students in agricultural disciplines, and members of the media are all encouraged to attend.
