Join Central State University for a series of weekly online webinars with CSU Extension educators on topics important to small farms. Each webinar runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features a presentation, followed by time for questions and discussion.

The focus in January is on the crop planning and marketing. The webinars are free but registration is required.

Jan. 20: “Direct Marketing at Farmers Markets and through CSAs” – Presenter: Marc Amante
In this program, we will discuss how to get started with direct marketing your farm products through two common models: farmers markets and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs. Whether you’re raising fruit, vegetables, flowers or livestock for meat and/or dairy, these two models are common ways to start making money from your farm, and we will talk about the unique challenges and considerations for each.
