On Saturday, June 6, our friends and partners at Holden Arboretum invite you to explore active demonstration sites within the Working Woods Learning Forest by joining guided tours or exploring on your own, and connect with regional natural resource organizations and professionals.

Timed tours through the Working Woods Learning Forest will include:

  • Forestry Practices, including a single-tree selection timber harvest
  • Active forest research and invasive plant management
  • Forest pests & pathogens
  • Conservation initiatives & wildlife habitat creation
  • Non-timber forest products
  • Seed scouting with Holden Seedbank
  • Sustainable trail building
