The Ohio Farm Bureau Property Protection Program has been in existence for more than 50 years. It began in 1971 with the purpose of deterring crime in rural areas.
The Ohio Farm Bureau Property Protection Program will pay a $5,000 reward to anyone providing information to law enforcement that leads to the arrest and conviction of persons for eligible property crimes committed against a Farm Bureau member’s property. For the reward to be paid, the person providing information, the Farm Bureau member, and the crime must meet the eligibility criteria and all terms and conditions of this program. See complete terms and conditions below.
In order for the Property Protection Program to be fully utilized, members are also encouraged to inform neighbors about the program. The letter below not only explains the program, but also explains how neighbors can join the Ohio Farm Bureau and take advantage of the property protection program themselves. Members who send the letter are encouraged to follow-up with a visit.
