Fire Department Farm Safety Resources
Resources for local fire departments when responding to emergencies on the farm.
Does your local fire department have the resources to respond effectively to a grain bin entrapment? The annual contest, sponsored by Nationwide and other partners, awards emergency first responders with grain rescue tubes and hands-on rescue training.
In collaboration with Wayne, Ashland, Medina, and Summit County Farm Bureaus, as well as several community sponsors, the Wayne County Regional Fire School built a state-of-the-art grain bin rescue facility that is available for fire and rescue training. The facility has completed three course descriptions for grain bin rescue training available at the facility. Please visit wcfra.org for more details or contact [email protected] to schedule a training.
The Ohio State University Ag Safety and Health Program has a comprehensive agricultural rescue trailer that can be used for onsite training.
