Farm Bureau is a grassroots membership organization that is committed to supporting our farm and food community. You can find us involved everywhere from events in the county, to the halls of local, state, and federal government, advocating for policy that supports the future of farming. We care about helping our members achieve success in agriculture.
Farm Bureau is proud to be hosting this inaugural progressive farm tour and dinner! Taste of Franklin County will feature local farmers, independently owned businesses and promote the flourishing agriculture in our county.
This initiative’s net proceeds will benefit our youth programs and scholarship fund. The farm tours and dinner are set to take place Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022. The host site for dinner is Circle S Farms in Grove City. At the dinner site, guests will be able to participate in a hay ride, purchase products at the mini farmers market and enjoy a locally sourced dinner. A cash bar will be available featuring Plum Run Winery & Grove City Brewing Company.
The farm tours will be “drive it yourself” tours. Tours will begin at 1:30 p.m. Each tour will last approximately 20 minutes. This will allow time for questions and drive time to the next stop. Attendees can pick their tour route, but will need to indicate the route order at time of ticket purchase. Tour times are 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Arrival at Circle S Farms will begin at 5 p.m. to enjoy the hay ride, farmers market, hors d’oeuvres and cash bar before dinner at 6 p.m.
We are looking for adults (ages 18 and above) to volunteer to be part of the farm tours and dinner. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to help in a variety of ways, including:
Volunteers will not have to pay full ticket price for the event, but since this is a fundraiser event for youth we are asking for volunteers to cover the cost of their meal.
If you are interested in signing up you can do that by clicking here!
If you have any questions please contact Melinda by calling 614-876-1274 or email [email protected]
