Day two of the event was for first responders. A full day of classroom and hands-on rescue training, instructed by the Ohio Fire Academy, was provided free of charge to eight local fire departments, including 28 first responders.  All were able to receive training using the new Grain Bin Rescue tubes that were purchased by Pike County Farm Bureau and Wilber-Price/Nationwide Insurance Agency. One rescue tube will be housed at the Stockdale Fire Department and the other at the Waverly Fire Department. These are the first Grain Bin Rescue Tubes purchased for the county.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
