A recent orphan well meeting held at Deerassic Education Center, in Cambridge, with Steve Irwin presenting from ODNR was well attended. Irwin gave a very thorough explanation of what constitutes an orphan well in Ohio and how to report a well on property that may need to be visited by the ODNR Division of Oil and Gas for possible capping.
State Rep. Andy Thompson also spoke on why he introduced the legislation this past session in the Ohio House of Representatives that has expanded this program in Ohio.
