Golfing in June for the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation were Cathann Kress, vice president for agricultural administration and dean, College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University; Virgil Strickler, general manager of the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair, and Adam Sharp, OFBF executive vice president. The foundation’s annual golf outing took place at the Lakes Golf & Country Club in Westerville and raised $85,000 for scholarships and grants. By providing scholarships and professional development opportunities, the foundation supports the next generation of agriculture producers, scientists and business and community leaders to break new ground in agriculture.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
