Read MoreAug. 30 through Sept. 5 was the 166th Van Wert County Fair. The Van Wert County Farm Bureau Food Stand was fully open again this year with all the fair food favorites including our famous milkshakes. New this year we had weekend specials available until gone including Saturday- Ribeye Sandwich, Sunday- Pork Loin Sandwich, and Monday- Ham and Cheese Sandwich and they were a big hit! Then Sept. 3 and 4, after some rain delays, we held our annual Kids Dream Days. Located at the track, this event was free event for Farm Bureau members and for non-Farm Bureau members the cost was $5 for an individual or $10 for a family. Open to everyone of all ages, participants got to ride in tractors or help dig in a mini excavator. There were also giveaway items after each person participated. See you next year for the 167th Van Wert Co. Fair Aug. 29-Sept. 4!
