Our Next Group Spotlight is…………
Arms Trucking has been the leader in the Midwest for bulk transport needs since being founded in 1953 and incorporated in 1963. The current owner, Howard Bates, began working for Arms Trucking in the late 60’s and has expanded the business to around 150 employees and both semi and straight trucks, vans, dump trailers, carry-all, and refrigerator trailers. Their mission is to accommodate the needs of their customers and provide 24/7 service customer service. Their units also come with GPS tracking so you can view your load in real-time.
It has become a family business, with both Howard’s son and daughter joining the business and helping it expand beyond trucking. Howard’s son, Brian Bates, joined to help with general operations. Brian graduated from The Ohio State University, brought three years of experience as an assistant golf course superintendent, and was the driving force behind launching Arms Turf, another family company within the Arms Group of businesses. The Arms Group has become a business to cover all your industry needs.
Howard is very active in the community as well, volunteering himself and the company resources to help wherever he can. In 2007 he was awarded the Emerald Leader Award, an award given to those who exemplify outstanding leadership through positive contributions.
