Step on up! Farm Bureau is looking for volunteers during the 2023 Jefferson County Fair

The Jefferson County Fair will be the week of Aug. 15 thru Aug. 20 at Friendship Park
Road in Smithfield. The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is looking for volunteers to help with running the Farm Bureau booth at the fair. There will be a daily theme, games and a scavenger hunt to interact with kiddos of all ages.

We are looking for volunteers in two-hour time slots from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day from Tuesday thru Sunday. Those willing to help can email our office at [email protected] or call us at 330.339.7211 and leave a message for us to get back to you.

You can pick up an admission ticket as a token of our appreciation on Sunday Aug. 13 from
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the 4-H welcome meal at the fairgrounds. Your help is greatly appreciated and essential to the success of the fair.

Ohio Farm Bureau’s mission is working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and
strengthen our communities. Farm Bureau is proud to be a part of these local events to share their knowledge of agriculture. If you’d like to hear more about Farm Bureau, contact us at 330.339.7211 or ofbf.org/membership.

For more information, contact the Jefferson County Farm Bureau at 330-339-7211.

The plan we are on is great. It’s comparable to my previous job's plan, and we are a sole proprietor.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
