Meet at Union Furnace Elementary at 9 a.m.

Basic land management and how to become a steward of the land will be discussed.

Healthy Harvests

12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

19605 Tick Ridge Road, New Plymouth

Timber harvest basics and how to understand when to conduct a sustainable harvest will be discussed.

Both programs are free, but are limited to 25 participants. RSVP to Dani Gill, 740-385-3016 by Oct. 10. You may register for one or both programs

Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.
