The Highland County board of trustees and county office staff extended an invitation for a Farm to Table breakfast to the community Aug 12, 2023. The Farmers Market in beautiful downtown Hillsboro was the backdrop as area Farm Bureau members and residents arrived to the aroma of farm-fresh eggs and sizzling sausages on the the grill. This event celebrated the blessing of local agriculture and encouraged a sense of appreciation for locally sourced food.
Even with a rainy planting season, many farmers still made time to attend, which was greatly appreciated!
