Guernsey County Farm Bureau holds State of the State program

Guernsey County Farm Bureau hosted its State of the State program in April as part of the recent pork chop dinner at Stop Nine Church of Christ Senior Center, Byesville.

State Sen. Brian Chavez, State Rep. Don Jones, County Commissioner Jack Marlin, County Engineer Paul Sherry, County Recorder Marilyn Callahan and Kaleb Knowlton, from Sen. Sherrod Brown’s office, gave attendees an update on their respective areas of government.  A question and answer session followed.

Thank you to representatives from the Meadowbrook and Buckeye Trail FFA chapters who helped with serving dinner.

A silent auction was held with proceeds going to the county scholarship program. Each year Guernsey County Farm Bureau awards two $500 scholarships to a Farm Bureau member.
