Huron County scholarship and grant winners

Every year Huron County Farm Bureau awards grants and scholarships to well deserved individuals. This year we are proud to announce Becky Parcher as recipient of a Teacher Grant as well as Kyle Kardotzke and Holden Nuhn as scholarship recipients for 2024. Each application was processed and voted on by our grant and scholarship committee. 

Teacher Grant

Becky Parcher
Becky volunteers for Historic Lyme Village Pioneer Camp in Bellevue. She intends to use the grant award to teach the children at camp how to grow and maintain sunflowers, the life cycle and importance of butterflies, and how sunflowers and butterflies help each other when it comes to pollination. Camp attendees will also learn about raising chickens, basic care practices and egg development. 

Scholarship Winners

Kyle Kardotzke
Kyle is graduating from Edison High School and will be attending The Ohio State University- Agricultural Technical Institute for an animal science major.

 

Holden Nuhn 
Holden graduated from Western Reserve High School in 2022 and is currently attending Wilmington College with a major in agriculture education.
