Jamie Loudon Golden Owl finalist

Georgetown High School’s agricultural science teacher and FFA advisor, Jamie Loudon, has been recognized as a 2025 Golden Owl Award honoree. In a surprise ceremony, Loudon was celebrated for his dedication to agricultural education and his impact on students. During his acceptance speech, he encouraged students to always do their best.

“You never know what your potential is until you actually try. Let’s continue increasing agriculture education and make a difference in the world,”  he said.

Principal Taylor Cox praised him as a “humble champion of agriculture,” emphasizing his tireless commitment to shaping future agricultural leaders. As one of 10 honorees across Ohio, Loudon’s FFA chapter will receive $1,500 and he will be considered for the title of Ohio’s Agricultural Educator of the Year.

Brown County Farm Bureau is proud to join in congratulating Mr. Loudon on this well deserved recognition!

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
