“The second round of voting was very competitive, and they got very creative in raising money for their pigs this year. The community support has been incredible.”

Thank You to All Participants

Every business and community member who painted, decorated, and voted for a pig played a part in this year’s success. Even pigs outside the Top 15 made big contributions, from Mark Porter Auto Group’s 21,366 votes to small-but-mighty entries like Village Haircutters and Taylor Excavating.

This event, started 30 years ago, has grown from funding a single scholarship to providing six scholarships annually, along with supporting youth activities across Jackson and Vinton Counties.

Special Thanks

  • FFA students from Wellston, Oak Hill & Jackson for helping shake coins from piggy banks and displaying Farm Bureau Queen photos.

  • The Telegram for donating space to run the Piggy Pages so that all proceeds could go directly to the fundraiser.

The Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau is grateful for the overwhelming support and can’t wait to continue growing this tradition next year!

To grow a network and gain perspective and knowledge in the industry through personal and professional development has been invaluable. Every day I learn and grow.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
