The Pike County Commissioners recently signed a proclamation declaring March 15-21, 2026 as National Agriculture Week. Pike County Farm Bureau presented each commissioner a basket filled with locally grown and produced items as well as information regarding National Ag Week. American agriculture plays a crucial role in strengthening our economy and in providing food for people, and employs more than 24 million people in our country. Don’t forget to thank a farmer!

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.
Farm Bureau is what really got the word out. It’s been one of their goals to get this done.
