Approximately 300 fourth grade students from Gallia County attended the 18th Annual Ag Awareness Day. They spent the day at the Gallia County Fairgrounds learning about various farm animals, tractors, 4-H, shooting safety, skins and skulls, Lyme disease, erosion, beekeeping, making soybean necklaces, and they enjoyed a hayride. All the students participated in a contest to draw an agriculture-related scene prior to the event. Thanks to our sponsors, each student was sent home with a free T-shirt featuring the winning drawing (by Lyla Swain from Hannan Trace Elementary).
