You’ve heard of Hello Fresh, well let’s talk about Hello Local! Darke County Farm Bureau brings you a locally sourced meal kit featuring a recipe from the Ohio Pork Council. This meal kit will be available to all residents of Darke and surrounding counties.

This kit features maple bacon wrapped pork chops and a vegetable roast. Ingredients will come from different farms, gardens and businesses across Darke County. Farm Bureau will assemble the kits and have them for pick up at the Downtown Greenville Farmers’ Market on Saturday Aug. 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Hello Local’s mission is to connect local products to consumer needs. We hope to encourage residents to buy from local producers who provide high quality goods. This will showcase to the community the different local outlets available to them.

If interested, we encourage you to preorder your Hello Local kit. There is a limited number of 50 kits available. Kits will make enough for four servings and will be $25 a piece. CLICK HERE to preorder your Hello Local kits.

The plan we are on is great. It’s comparable to my previous job's plan, and we are a sole proprietor.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
