2023 Pike County Annual Meeting

Pike County Farm Bureau combined its Annual Meeting with a Member’s Only event for members and their families, and what a great crowd! Nationwide Select Partners Wilber-Price Insurance Agency and Gerber Insurance Agency both provided fire balls and other home and farm safety items for our drawing! Thank you to our other vendors which included Pike County Farm Bureau who talked to members about their benefits of being a Farm Bureau member, Pike County Suicide Prevention, Steven Brunner showed the ag history in the county, Atomic Credit Union shared information on their ag lending programs, and OSU Extension Pike County let guests pedal their own non-alcoholic Sangrias on a blender bike!

There were several things for the kids to do including making bird feeders, a piñata, rock painting and shaved ice! Thanks to Jacy Bapst for designing our event shirts! We appreciate the Piketon FFA helping serve food as well! This awesome county board rocked this new event for our members! Check out our Facebook page to see some more pictures from this awesome event!

The plan we are on is great. It’s comparable to my previous job's plan, and we are a sole proprietor.

Farm Bureau connections
The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Bringing the farm back to life
Because we are younger farmers just starting out, Farm Bureau has a lot of good opportunities and resources to help us grow in the future.

Farm Bureau involvement
Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

Select Partner Program
So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
