Read MoreThe Lake County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees would like to honor their 2024 scholarship recipients: Anya Demshar and Paige Lucic.
Anya receives $1,000 and is attending Wilmington College, as a junior, majoring in agriculture with a focus in animal science with minors in pre-vet, biology and chemistry. Anya is working toward her goal of being a veterinarian and has begun the process of applying for veterinary school.
Paige, a $750 scholarship recipient, is attending the University of Findlay majoring in exercise science for health professionals and minoring in strength and conditioning and is working on a graduate program to earn a doctorate in physical therapy. Paige is interested in teaching others about the importance of agriculture and hopes to be an advisor in 4-H.
