2025 American Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

Reflecting on a memorable experience in San Antonio reveals a tapestry of achievement and community spirit. Representing the Jackson-Vinton, Pike, and Scioto County Farm Bureaus during this event was an incredible opportunity that yielded cherished moments.

One of the standout highlights was the recognition of Pike County, which received a County Activities of Excellence Award for its exceptional Ag Career Connections program. This honor was a testament to the dedication and innovative efforts of all involved.

Kristen Campbell’s presentation at the Trade Show was also captivating. Her insights resonated with the audience, showcasing the talent and commitment inherent within the community. The impact of her words left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Kim Harless’ participation as a speaker and panelist alongside three distinguished individuals from across the country provided a valuable knowledge-sharing platform. Engaging in discussions about agricultural issues enriched the experience, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in addressing challenges within the field.

The Ag Career Connections booth attracted a multitude of visitors eager to learn about various initiatives and achievements. The enthusiasm and support from those who stopped by highlighted the significance of community engagement.

Another amazing moment was the recognition of four exceptional membership signers as Murray Lincoln winners: Mick Scott, Jessica Taylor, Tracy Robinson and Angie Lewis. Their unwavering dedication and commitment played a crucial role in the overall success of the organization, adding a heartfelt touch to the event.

Gratitude for the volunteers and supporters who contribute so much cannot be overstated. The memories created within the Farm Bureau community are invaluable. The dedication shown by all continues to inspire and uplift, underscoring the collective effort toward shared goals and aspirations.

The plan we are on is great. It’s comparable to my previous job's plan, and we are a sole proprietor.

The issue of property taxation remains as one of the biggest challenges our members face today. Ensuring agricultural property is valued for its agricultural potential and not development is critical to the continued success of Ohio agriculture.

Through the Select Partner program, we became educated in farm insurance and weren't just selling policies. It became more and more clear why farmers need an advocate like Ohio Farm Bureau.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
