Read MoreFrom combines to Christmas trees, the 2017 Land and Living Exhibit has it all. This celebration of rural life is definitely a must-see for those who are seeking family-centered fun and an insight to how agriculture impacts their daily lives.
From July 26-Aug. 6 at the Ohio Expo Center and Fairgrounds, 717 E. 17th St. Columbus, Ohio 43211, Ohio Farm Bureau is presenting the Land and Living Exhibit daily at the Ohio State Fair from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Nationwide Donahey Ag & Hort Building, just east of the Giant Slide.
Be sure to come check out our new and improved interactive grocery store. After your “shopping trip” you will walk away with more knowledge about nutrition and what steps your dinner takes to get from farm to fork, as well as a goodie bag filled with some pretty cool coupons. While you’re there, be sure to try your hand at our combine and tractor simulators and meet commodity groups such as Ohio Corn and Wheat, Ohio Soybean Council, the Ohio Pork Council and many more.
Four times a day, you can rest your feet and enjoy a Stage Show at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. We will be bringing back many favorites, such as Gus the Squash Carver, the Columbus Zoo and sheep shearing with Roger High. We are super excited to be inviting new acts to the stage this year as well, such as a visit from Abraham Lincoln and an exploration of sensory food science with Emily Adams. See the schedule
Also, be sure to say “hello” to our furry friends in the bunny, chick and adoptable dog displays. In the same area of the building, younger fair-goers can have a blast driving pedal tractors through the Country Cruise exhibit.
Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors. We would like to thank Nationwide Insurance, Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association and Ohio Soybean Council for being our presenting sponsors this year.
