A very successful leader development and planning meeting was held Sept. 27 at the Mid-East Career Center, Senecaville. Organization Directors Betsy Anderson and Kari Burkey along with board members from Belmont, Guernsey, Monroe, Noble, Morgan, Muskingum, Perry and Washington counties came together while staff from the Ohio Farm Bureau Columbus office shared ideas and information.
County Farm Bureaus have been in existence for a number of years. In the early 1900s, farmers in the counties gathered together to take on challenges as a group that individual farmers were not able to address alone. It is that cooperative attitude that helped to form the Farm Bureau organization, and that same attitude is vital today to make certain that farming and the agriculture industry is even stronger. Thank you to all of our board members and volunteers!
