Glenda Thomas was awarded the Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District Educator Award at the group’s recent annual meeting. This award was for her presentation of the “Pizza Farm” with Farm Bureau during the Annual Fifth Grade Field Day in Switzerland of Ohio School District. The day is sponsored by the Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District, and the Monroe County Farm Bureau joins other organizations in getting kids out of their classrooms and into sessions about conservation, electric power, wildlife, agriculture and more.
