Pulled Pork BBQ

 

Make sure you allow the pork to rest in the refrigerator after you add the rub.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder roast
  • 8 ounces beer
  • ~~ Spice Rub ~~
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

Mix all spices together. Rub the entire roast with the spice rub. Place in a covered dish or plastic bag and allow to rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place roast in a roaster pan or dish. Pour beer in pan with roast. Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Remove meat from pan and place on cutting board. Using two forks, use one to hold the roast and the second fork to pull the meat apart in strips. Mix meat with your favorite barbecue sauce.
