Teriyaki on a Stick

Don’t settle for hotdogs when you can cook steak over your campfire. Marinate your steak ahead of time to maximize flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound round steak
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup or barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt

Directions

Cut the round steak in very thin slices about 2 to 3 inches long and marinate them in the teriyaki sauce until ready to cook. Build a fire and weave the round steak onto long barbecue forks and cook over the fire for a couple of minutes. Prepare a second mixture of the teriyaki sauce for dipping the cooked steak strips.
